Spring is on the way!

I hope your area of the world is starting to warm up and you are beginning to feel a bit of Spring Fever.   I am solar powered, so the little snippets of sunshine are waking me out of my winter hibernation. 

There are so many beautiful new patterns out, I will highlight a few of my favorites.

True Bias released The Nikko, this pattern includes four views, all with a simple and stylish mock turtleneck.   You can find this Indie Pattern, as well as others from True Bias at Sewing Studio now.


This pattern is flattering for all figures, the neck is not too high to be restrictive.  The pattern calls for a medium weight knit fabric with approx. 75% stretch - check out our rib knit, bamboo knit or the FoxyLady knit.

If you are an Instagram follower, checkout @Heatherhandmade - she used our hazelnut bamboo for this dress, and it is beautiful on her.

Another spring pattern that had me excited is Chalk and Notch's new Joy Jacket.  This is a fully lined, relaxed fit, mid-weight jacket.  The center zipper is exposed and both the hooded and collared versions have drawstrings at the neck and hem.  Two pocket options - square or angled patch.  Pick a fun print for the lining and enjoy!

This pattern is available only as a PDF - but certainly worth a bit of taping or send off to the copy shop.

Fabrics for this jacket are medium weight woven fabric with a nice drape - Tencel twill, rayon twill or a rayon linen. 

I am excited to share that we have added some new paper patterns from Indie Pattern designers.  I secretly want to sew them all myself, so grab them before I do!

Everyone is sewing the Cheyenne Tunic - dress it up with a fun floral woven, or make it more relaxed with a chambray. 


Just in time for short sleeve weather you should grab some fun fabrics to sew up a few Biscayne Blouses.  Try this one with a rayon challis, silk, voile or chambray.  This can be your "go to" for work or play.

I did not think I would get back into Bibs again, but this pattern is so cute and has a few variations that might make me change my mind!

The rage over the fall and winter is the Toaster by Sew House Seven - there are two neck versions, but both a comfy and cozy.  This may be a pattern you will sew MANY times, so make sure to get this one soon.

I had an wonderful opportunity to attend the LA Textile show last week!  Wow, overwhelming is an understatement.   So much to look and TOUCH!   I did order a number of beautiful fabrics and can't wait until they arrive!  Stay tuned and watch for an email with news of their arrivals.
